We collect very little, and only what we need.
When you reach out through our contact form, we collect:
We use this to respond to you and to send a confirmation that we received your message.
When you sign up for the Ayana.AI waitlist, we collect your email address. We use this to let you know when Ayana launches and to send a welcome email.
Our website uses your IP address for rate limiting, which prevents abuse of our forms. Your IP address is NOT stored in our database. It is used in the moment and then discarded.

Here is exactly what we do with the information you share:
Here is what we do NOT do:
Ayana.AI is a maternal health companion. We understand that expressing interest in a maternal health product can be sensitive. Signing up for the waitlist might tell someone something about your health, your family planning, or the health of someone you care about.
We take that seriously. Your waitlist status is never shared with employers, insurance companies, or any third party. We treat your interest in Ayana as health-adjacent sensitive information and protect it accordingly.
To run this website, we use a small number of trusted services. Each of them may process some of your data as part of doing their job:
We do not share your information with anyone beyond these three services, and only for the specific purposes described above.
We do not hold onto your data longer than we need to.
If you want your data removed sooner, just ask. We will take care of it.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email corley@heartwoodtech.ai. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
Security is not an afterthought for us. Here is what we have in place:
Heartwoodtech.com is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information through our site, please contact us at corley@heartwoodtech.ai and we will delete it immediately.
When we send you email, we follow the rules set out in the CAN-SPAM Act:
South Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act: We use encryption, access controls, and data minimization practices to safeguard the limited data we collect. In the unlikely event of a data breach involving your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by South Carolina law.
HIPAA: Heartwood Technologies is not currently a HIPAA-covered entity and does not store protected health information. However, as we develop Ayana.AI, we are building with health data privacy principles in mind. Before Ayana collects any health-related data beyond the waitlist, we will obtain appropriate legal guidance and update this policy.
California and international users: If you are located in California or the European Union, you may have additional rights under the CCPA or GDPR. We honor data access and deletion requests from all users regardless of location.
If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes — especially anything involving new types of data collection or new third-party services — we will notify affected users by email when possible.
We will not bury important changes in fine print.
